I consider myself an eclectic witch, dabbling in different aspects of the craft and sticking with the practices that fulfill me and bring me closer to my spiritual core.
A bit about my belief system: I believe in a higher power. I was raised in the Christian faith, and still find many of its traditions to be resonant, relevant and comforting, I no longer follow any organized form of that religion; however, neither do I consider myself pagan or wiccan.
I am a lover of nature and feel that all beings have worth, be they animal, plant, or mineral. I’m not big into astrology, but understand that the seasons, lunar cycles and visible aspects of the universe affect our lives, and I enjoy observing and celebrating how they manifest. I don’t have a green thumb – I have a long history of neglecting my plants, sadly – nor am I a good enough cook to qualify as a kitchen witch, so as I said, I dabble.
I love the notion of “side quests” in role-playing games (RPGs): tasks that are not directly related to the character’s main goal, but serve to strengthen and provide experience points. So for anyone interested in witchcraft or finding out if it’s for you, I came up with this quest to help you explore and discover.
