I’ll Take My Tarot Salty, Please

In last week’s post, I shared some snarky first impressions of some of the Major Arcana cards in the Tarot. This week, I’ll continue with some of the cards in two decks of the Minor Arcana: Wands and Cups. These suits symbolize fire and water, desire and emotion, clubs and hearts, John and Paul, Bert and Ernie. Enjoy.

Wands
Ace of Wands: “Here. Based on your history, you’re going to need this. It’s a stick.”
Five of Wands: “Imma kill you with my stick!” “Not if I kill you first!”
Seven of Wands: “I’ll kill all six of you with my stick!”
King of Wands: If that lizard doesn’t start eating its tail like all the ones on my throne, Imma hit it with my stick.
Cups
Three of Cups: The Three Graces are having a wine party. You’re not invited.
Four of Cups: When you know you’ve had too much to drink: a weird, disembodied hand offers you another drink from out of a cloud.
Ten of Cups: It’s raining cups, hallelujah, it’s raining cups!
Page of Cups: “Um, waiter?”
Queen of Cups: Cabana Boy, come take away this garish cup.
